from the Watergate scandal, you will see a lot of similarities. Both are ideologues who share an extreme right philosophy which means that Mr. Libby will not speak against his boss Dick Cheney at any cost or incriminate him over the Plame disclosure. Mr. Libby also will not tell the world the truth about the fabrication of the Niger yellow cake fake documents by the Italian secret service and the Wolfwitz’s Department of Defense Special Projects group. The alternative that Mr. Libby faces other than spending the rest of his life in jail after living a very comfortable life is the Kelly/ Mcfarlane alternaive. David Kelly is the British biological weapons scientist who was found dead after “ committing” suicide by slitting his own wrist. Mr. Kelly allegedly cut his own wrist to avoid the embarrassment he caused the Royal Crown in the United Kingdom by publicizing that the biological weapons report on Iraq was “sexed up.”

Mr. Libby could also take the Robert Mcfarlane route that took place in the 1980’s. Robert Mcfarlanethe was the national security advisor to Ronald Reagan who attempted suicide after the discovery of his role in selling arms to Iran during the Iran-Iraq war and channeling the proceeds to the right wing Contras in Nicaragua.

For those who are altruistic to believe that something will come out of this, let me know remind you that both Democrats and Republicans in this country are responsible for the murder and killing of millions of people on this planet of ours to sustain and protect this war machine and to enslave, exploit and control its resources. It was the kind popular Kennedy who increased the number of “ Special Advisors” in Vietnam from less than 2000 soldiers and officers to more than 20 000 advisors in less than 2 years. The democratic president that followed him increased the number to more than 350 000 in less than four years.
Nixon, the Republican bombed Cambodia, Laos and violated more United States and international laws during his five years of tenure in office than a yellow pages book of the city of Bejing can hold. Or should we mention here that it was Carter who planned the attack on Iran that was devastated by a sand storm that took care of the aggressors and killed them in their planes and helicopters. Did we forget that Reagan ordered the bombings of Beirut, the mountains of Lebanon with one and a half ton bombs for daring to resist the U.S hegemony over Lebanon? Why do we forget that the first gulf war was instigated by the United States when April Gilespie told the dictator Saddam that his dispute with Kuwait.

It was the Democrat William ( Bill) Clinton who tightened the sanctions against the innocent Iraqi children whose only crime is that they were born in Iraq under the regime of the murderer who was financed, armed and politically supported by the United States, France and the United Kingdom. It was Clinton’s secretary of state Madelline Albright who said that yes, the removal of Saddam Hussein, the puppet of the United States for three decades is worth the lives of half a million Iraqi children.
If there is a crime, there will be a cover up and do not count on the perpetrators being brought to justice. We will not see Rumsfeld and Gonzales tried for human rights violations due to their role in the torture of Iraqis, Yemenis and other Arabs for allegedly being members of the fictitious Alqaida. If you think that George W. Bush and his handler and mentor Cheney will stand trial for war crimes against humanity due to the illegal war that they launched against Iraq and led to the murder of hundreds of thousands of Arabs in Iraq and Palestine. and even if indicted and convicted by the special prosecutor for fabricating evidence and lying to the world to invade Iraq and secure Israel for decades to come, a special pardon on January 19th 2009 by W. will set them free. The trial and the judgment will take few years by the time George Bush is ready to get out of office and grant his God given power to have mercy on them and pardon them for their crimes.
I have no doubt that a lot of people today believe that the movie being played in front of them will lead to the end of the occupation of Iraq and the change in the foreign policy towards the Arabs and the Palestinians.
If you believe that the movie that is being played now in front of you will lead to the removal of these war criminals I have a proposal for you. The London bridge is up for sale and I will make a good deal for you. If you do not have the money, and you are still want to go to sleep and dream about this taking place, please do me a favor. Do what my mother used to tell me before I went to sleep: “ Riad, go pee before you sleep..you might have a bad dream and wet your bed.”
